Your account is already throttled. You posted, got 0-2 views repeatedly, and now you need a way back. Recovery is real and usually works for accounts you created yourself. It just requires doing the counterintuitive thing first: stop posting.
Step 1: stop posting and re-warm
The instinct when views drop is to post more, hoping one breaks through. Do the opposite. Every post into a throttled account reinforces the bot pattern that got you throttled. Go quiet on publishing and re-warm the account exactly like a new one:
- Scroll your For You Page 20-30 minutes a day.
- Like, comment, bookmark, and follow inside your niche.
- Do this for 5-7 days, posting nothing during the window.
This is the same routine as the initial warm-up, and that is the point. You are re-establishing the human-behavior signal the account lost.
Step 2: post once, and read the number
After the re-warm window, publish a single post. Then read the view count as a diagnostic, not a vanity metric:
- Around 150-300 views: the throttle has lifted. This is the signal you were waiting for.
- Still 0-2 views: the account is not ready. Go back to step 1 for another 5-7 day window. Do not spam posts trying to force it.
The single test post matters because it tells you the state of the account without risking the bot pattern that volume posting would reintroduce.
Step 3: ramp back slowly
Recovery is fragile. Do not celebrate a 200-view post by immediately resuming daily publishing. You are testing the waters, so behave like it:
- Post every other day at minimum to start.
- Move to once a day only when reach holds for several posts.
- Do not exceed 2-3 posts a day until the account is clearly, consistently healthy.
- Keep scrolling 5-10 minutes daily the entire time. Dropping the human signal again is the fastest way back to zero.
Treat the first two weeks after recovery as probation. Consistency at a calm pace beats a volume spike that re-trips the filter.
When an account is beyond saving
Sometimes repeated re-warming cycles still produce 0 views. At that point the account may be flagged beyond practical recovery. The honest math:
- For accounts you created yourself, this is rare. Almost always, patient re-warming works, and the issue was sequencing, not a permanent mark.
- For purchased accounts, it is common. You inherited whatever damage the previous owner did, and you have no way to know its real history. This is one of the strongest arguments for creating accounts instead of buying them.
If an account genuinely will not recover after multiple honest cycles, starting a fresh account and warming it properly is usually faster than fighting the flag. That is not failure. It is cutting a sunk cost.
After recovery: do not recreate the problem
The behavior that throttled the account the first time will throttle it again. Whatever you do next, keep the human-scroll habit alive and keep your posting cadence steady rather than spiky.
This is the part where automation actually helps, after recovery, not before. A tool maintaining a calm 1-2x daily cadence on a healthy account is exactly the consistency recovery wants. ViralSlides handles that cadence so you can focus on the 5-10 daily minutes of scrolling that keep the account out of trouble.
